Tasting Notes
Lively acidity is a hallmark of Sangiovese and this wine has it. Acidity in a red wine often makes for a good food wine. In addition to going well with just about any tomato based food, the subtle rare-meat “fleshiness” and aged beef jerky flavors make this a perfect wine with flank steak. Fruit expressions of concentrated sour cherry, plum and pomegranate become accentuated as the wine opens up. The palate finishes with lingering cherry notes and a hug from a medium tannin structure.
