Tasting Notes
Sophistication and Class with plenty of panache. This varietal has grown up since its Reininger debut last year. Shedding some of its “in your face” and “chew it up” attitude, this more refined 2003 Carmenére has learned to control and present its larger than life varietal character of white pepper, spice, boysenberry, blackberry, and black cherry in the REININGER tradition of restraint and elegance. This is the most intriguing wine REININGER has ever made!

  • What our customers say

My Love Affair with Carmenere "This is the one that started it all for me. It was unlike anything I had ever tasted before."

"Reininger Winery was one of the first wineries we visited in Walla Walla. We were welcomed and treated like family. We were very impressed with their dedication to producing wines that are true to varietal and well-matched with food. You definitely could say that an experience such as ours was factored in and influenced our decision to open our restaurants in Walla Walla."

"As wine club members, we have always appreciated the consistency of quality in Reininger wines. Every bottle we have bought is great with food and stands among the best of Walla Walla wines. We love the personal feeling of the winery when we take friends and visitors by to taste. We truly feel like a part of the Reininger family!"
